Nicholls and Uttinger Civil has been selected by our ongoing clients, Pinnacles Civil and Thames-Coromandel District Council, to repair three road slips in the Coromandel.
The work is a continuation of the successful projects delivered earlier this year to repair major slips in Colville and Kennedy Bay.
The team will be on-site near Coromandel town and Kopu from May 2024 for two months, repairing slips caused by severe weather events in 2023.
The three sites consist of a rock-filled gabion basket wall, a large rock buttress batter with singular rock boulders up to 1 tonne each, and a timber retaining wall with tie-back anchors.
Working within live streams, meticulous planning is in place to protect the environment and meet rigid consent conditions.
