Nicholls and Uttinger Civil were delighted to be selected by HEB Construction to construct a network of stormwater pipework in the Bay of Plenty.
The project has involved a road upgrade near Tauranga, requiring the installation of a 1800mm diameter pipe, including a 7m deep install below the existing road level.
The team mobilised a 35-tonne Hitachi excavator, carefully transporting it over the Kaimai Range on an oversized, piloted transporter. This heavy machinery was essential for handling and installing the large-diameter pipes.
Nicholls and Uttinger Civil have an experienced team who are well-suited to deliver this challenging project – leveraging their deep expertise in specialised installation of large-scale stormwater pipework.
We're proud to have collaborated with HEB Construction on this project so far and look forward to future opportunities to contribute to critical infrastructure development.
