In mid-2024, Nicholls and Uttinger Civil successfully completed the repair of two significant road slip sites on behalf of the Waitomo District Council.
The first and most complex site required constructing a 38-meter long steel beam retaining wall, anchored by 9-meter steel UC piles concreted into the ground and supported by timber lagging boards.
This site also included drainage upgrades, kerbing, guardrail, pavement construction and chipsealing.
The second site involved constructing a 27m long timber poles wall, using 6.5m long timber poles concreted into the ground with timber lagging boards.
Our team is proud to have completed the repair project for the Waitomo District Council and the greater community.
